IHA History

Innovative Health Applications (IHA), a new joint venture (JV) company. The parties of the JV are InoMedic-a long-term NASA small business-and Comprehensive Health Services, the current incumbent for most Medical and Environmental Support Contract (MESC) work requirements. An overview of these IHA joint venture partners is provided below.
InoMedic, Inc. InoMedic was established in 1994 as a professional services firm dedicated to the innovative application of the art and science of preventive medicine to the larger community. The company has evolved from being a consultant in preventive medicine to serving as a prime contractor to major federal, state and private corporations. InoMedic has been a provider of aerospace medicine and occupational health services to NASA for over 6 years and possesses a comprehensive understanding and dedication to this mission. Additionally, InoMedic's President, Leroy Gross, MD, MPH, served as a member of the Headquarters NASA Aerospace Medicine and Occupational Health Advisory Committee (AMOHAC) and the Biological and Physiological Research Advisory Committee (BPRAC) for more than a decade.
InoMedic is a service-disabled veteran-owned small business that is certified by the SBA as a small disadvantaged business under the 8(a) program through August 2009. It is also certified by the Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Minority Enterprise as a small minority owned business and is on the GSA Schedule for "Professional and Allied health Staffing Services." Dr. Leroy P. Gross, MD, MPH, FACPM-InoMedic's CEO/President and Medical Director-is IHA's Chairman of the Board (COB). As COB of the Joint Venture, Dr. Gross brings a lifelong commitment to the art and practice of aviation and space medicine. His career spans more than 45 years, first as a military aviator, second as a physician specializing in aerospace medicine, third as a designated USAF Pilot/Physician, and now as the corporate president and founder of InoMedic. He has participated in the field as a clinician, administrator, member of boards and committees and many other forums that promote the advancement of preventive medicine and aerospace medicine

Comprehensive Health Services, Inc. (CHS), the second JV partner, is a premier provider of occupational medicine, environmental health/industrial hygiene and environmental services for both commercial and Government customers. The Joint Venture
The IHA joint venture is founded on an SBA-approved mentor-protégé relationship between InoMedic and CHS, with the latter as mentor. We both strongly believe in integration of medical services, environmental health and environmental services and have made great strides in infusing this culture into our customers and our own workforce. Both companies have extensive NASA support experience.
